Federal Employees

The Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) consists of three parts: a defined benefit plan, Social Security, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) There is also the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) which was phased out starting 1984. It is a complex system, and can be confusing.
Planning for retirement involves various financial and personal considerations which we will address during our planning process. Please resist the temptation to follow your co-workers' advice because their decisions are based on their circumstances, and may not be the best option for you.
As a ChFEBC (Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant) I have the knowledge and the experience of your benefits. I have been helping federal employees understand their benefits, and plan accordingly.
